2 years on... (picture heavy!)

So I've owned my SV around 2 years now and last week I put the last piece of the puzzle in and I am now happy with how she looks.

I thought with all the hard work (and money) I put into it who better to show it off to than the very forum that forced me into most of the changes!

I would also appreciate any input as to changes or additions you would make, you never know I could always find something else to put on/change!

Anyway I hope you all enjoy the read!

So this was my first glimpse of what was going to be a long and fun project in the showroom:





I took her for a nice holiday to Bournemouth a couple months later and she was still as I bought her i.e. completely standard except the exhaust and hugger...



After this ride out and a few others and a little bit of advice and persuasion on this forum I decided to change the front end... what a hassle that was but a great experience and good fun in the end!

Job complete half a day later and very pleased with the results..





Now it was time to add the projectors, sounded easy at first.. and I'm sure to anyone else it would be, but I tried as hard as I could to make it as difficult as possible (I even melted the first set of head lights!)



But we got them fitted and they looked fantastic in my eyes. I appreciate not everyone likes the look of them but I do and it makes the bike just that little bit more unique

After spending a lot of time changing things on the bike I maybe overlooked a couple of things that should have been replaced/checked sooner.. I started to feel a vibration coming from the front wheel and over the next couple of days it got worse and worse to almost a wobble at any speed.. I thought I may have buckled the wheel on a pot hole or something.. so a quick trip down the garage and it soon revealed the problem.

This was removed from the front wheel..



I know.. I was very lucky nothing worse than a wobble happened!



New one in.. all good to go!

Full GSXR front end including 4 Pot calipers, USD forks, black front wheel, black front mudguard, top yolk ect..

Yellow and gold HEL braided brake lines

Oxford nano eyeshot LED indicators on the front

Dark Tint double bubble Puig screen

Anodised black levers with gold adjusters

Suzuki brake fluid reservoir cover

Extra switch added to be able to turn the lights off and have just the halo rings on

Black lower fairings (I couldn't find yellow at the time, but I quite like the contrasting look)

Motoslider crash bungs

Beowulf tri-oval SS exhaust (sounds beautiful!)

Kawasaki ZX10-R rear suspension

Scottoiler

Genuine Suzuki rear hugger in yellow

Genuine Suzuki rear seat cowl and infills in yellow

Oxford Neptune LED indicators on the rear

Black rear wheel

Gold anodised tax disk holder

Tail tidy to make it all neat

I think that's everything I've got on there!

Good start, but you are never finished modding

HID's and forks look sweet
Get the fairings all the same colour first of all
Remove the "Neverbeen" decal
Drill and tap the swingarm for your scottoiler to get rid of the tie wraps
Remove pillion pegs
Either do away with the front standard front indi's or get some bigger ones
Is that a camera on the frame?

It is very hard to find that colour fairing (I'm not paying new suzuki prices!) but if I saw some come up on fleabay I'd definitely be on to them!

Good idea with the scottoiler hadn't thought of that

The indi's on the front are very very bright and I like them as they are as I can be seen easily ect.. I considered flush mounted ones but they just weren't visable enough

Yes on the right had side lower fairing that's a holder for my camera

In my defence the decal came with the front end and I haven't tried to remove it as it may damage the paintwork underneath.. well thats my excuse anyway :P

It may work for some people but the naked or even belly pan look does not work for me!

Race belly pans look good on pointys as they are a bit larger on the sides

I'd agree they look slightly better however not going to win me over verses the lowers!

Wire your indicators up to your side lights and put amber 501 bulbs in and then your indicators will be integral to your headlights.

If you put a diode in, they can still be wired as sidelights too!

I considered this when I was changing the front indicators, but I like the bright LED lights I have for the sidelights and a small bulb like that won't beat the nano's on visibility
