I have been looking on the internet for some new more powerful bulbs.
Reason 1 - So more people can see me, hopefully. Reason 2 - So I can see more of the road and further. I have read about the Philips Motovision Bulbs which apparently are quite good. I have got Philips Xtreme bulbs in my car and they are ace, you can see for miles but can you put car bulbs in a bike? Are they the same design? Any reviews or opinions would be appreciated. ![]() |

Try adjusting the bulbs slightly higher first. I did this on my K6 and it worked a treat.

A classic question Cbay, many a person has been down this path. Ok the main contenders are, in no order:
Philips Xtreme (I have these) osram nightbreakers (good from what I have heard) HIDs - Kicks the ass of both but you can pay the price for them. ![]() |

Not sure about the whole bulb changing thing, mine has nightbreakers and I swapped purine to start to do a side by side comparison, slightly different colour to thembut no noticeable difference in my opinion

I love my Philips Xtreme ones so maybe I'll get some more of them.
Speedplay, nice idea but I don't want to risk it. I didn't even know Halfords did the no road use ones, good to know. I would love HIDs but too much hassle for not very much achieved in my eyes. Hmmmmm...... |

You may be surprised by HID. I have seen a bike fitted with them & they are definitely on my wish list.
The SV owner I was talking to that has them reckons you can see the road lit up in front of you even on a sunny day ![]()

Night and day better than halogens... Don't worry about your battery, you're removing two 55W bulbs and replacing them with two 35W HID kits, it puts less strain on the electrical system after the initial few seconds...
