Default first few mods and advice needed

new tail tidy...really hated the look of that horrible snow plough on the back, took a while longer to fit than expected because of some awkward bolts to get to and a fair few were heavily rusted

osram nightbreakers and LED sidelights, can not believe the difference these headlights make didnt take long to fit at all just followed instructions i found on here, and for £4 the LED sidelights look amazing.
(will post a pic when i can)

This bike really wasn't looked after and i have cleaned lot of rust from the shiny bits, when i got the bike the engine covers were painted with horrible high temp paint, i have now stripped this off and am not sure whether to get them re-painted views on this would be appreciated i kind of like them shiny although im unsure how long they would stay like that?, the downpipe was also rusted up lot of work with sandpaper and a dremel sorted that

And finally when i was stripping the bike to fit the new tail tidy i came across a loose cable behind the old mudguard? i also found a switch looked like for a immobiliser maybe?

Has someone misplaced the black side panels ( that should cover the seat mounting bolts) and resculpted (lowered) the rider's seat ?

The bolt for the side fairing is easily replaced. A simple 10mm M6 (I think?) does the job nicely for me.

Edit.
Get these in a size 16mm and they're perfect.

The bolt you want is a flanged M6x16
