gsxr1000 k4 front end on K4 SV?
I found a complete k4 gsxr1000 front end for a good price. From what I have read it will fit directly onto my 04 sv650s. Is that true? Will steering stops and steering lock work properly? Amything else I should know?

Should all go on, not sure if steering lock is offset or central on 1000K4 though, you want offset one.
Speedo needs sorting on any GSXR conversion

Re: gsxr1000 k4 front end on K4 SV?
I think I saw somewhere that I can use a gsxr speedo sensor as ahallefect sensor. Is that true? Also can I use superglue to glue the magnets on my disks? I cant put them in the riverts as my galffer wavys have 9 of them sonoone is popsite another.
As for the fender how hard is it to use mine? here is the front end I am buying http://www.car.gr/parts/photos/1816355/ |

They should use the money to buy a new camera, those are giving me a headache.
Try it with offset magnet spacing, will probably work. Superglue will probably let them fall off quite quickly. GSXR speedo sensor will work if it has 3 wires, otherwise you may need to make circuit to make it work.

Re: gsxr1000 k4 front end on K4 SV?
Yea using 8 magnets on mine, held in with araldite, on a disk with 9 rivets. Speed seems to read pretty well, slighty under original which is probably a more accurate measurement. I think as yours is a k4 you may only need 4 magnets though

Re: gsxr1000 k4 front end on K4 SV?
i guess you can put them where you like aslong as they dont interfere with anything and you can position the sensor to pick them up. Mine were put in place in the rivets of the disc, i bought magnets of a size that fitted perfect into the holes, i then made a bracket for the sensor to suit. Its a little bit of trial and error, my sensor needed slighty tweaking as it was picking up the rivets instead of the magnets

Re: gsxr1000 k4 front end on K4 SV?
Could somebody tell me whether the original SV sensor (the one that fits on the front axle) can be used when using magnets on the disk to get a speed reading with GSXR forks?
If so how is this done? Do I dismantle the original sensor? Many Thx |
