Is it also a bus lane? You don't need much signage for that.

My wife found an "amazing quiet route" home from work last year.. only to find out about these via a fine that came through the post.

The Bus Gate is not in the Highway Code and is, I think, a bit of paint on the road that is supposed to represent a real gate that only buses may go through (other vehicles may be authorised). It is backed up by a camera system for revenue purposes or traffic safety (you choose).

Sometimes living in a backwater can be a good thing although it makes venturing out into civilisation a risky business, not to mention expensive.

Seems odd that a traffic control system is in use without it being mentioned in the Highway Code.

Cast your mind back 2 or 3 years. Do you remember hearing about a strange new virus that was killing people in China?

Deja vu and time for a replay, perhaps:

Maybe the planet is trying to tell us something?

From that article:

"When buying live chickens, do not touch them and their droppings. Do not blow at their bottoms. "

update on the shock absorber - just been informed suzuki shock is not arriving in germany until june - suzuki customer care might consider some goodwill gesture for inconvenience caused by delay but only if genuine suzuki shock fitted - told them I can't wait until june or later , so can I arrange for suzuki dealer to fit another brand of shock absorber. they will only consider goodwill gesture after part fitted and it has to be genuine suzuki. so catch 22 situation !!! customer care did say if suzuki dealer does fit another shock and I want some sort of compensation/goodwill gesture ,the dealer would have to speak to the suzuki warranty team.

I noticed a small bulge in the kitchen ceiling this morning. I guessed a water leak from the bathroom above and that proved to be the case.
The hot pipe feeding the bath tap has a tiny seepage that's clearly been going on for years judging by limescale and verdigris.
So off to Wickes for some parts and I get caught up in the local 'Bike for Life'. Traffic chaos.
Leak now fixed, just the ceiling to repair

So much for my plans to take Mr Honda out for a spin.
