Default Sprocket Sizes

I'm currently running the standard front and rear sprockets on my 04 K3 SV650S. I'm looking for that little bit extra acceleration and I was wondering if anyone knew the standard size sprockets and any recommendations on sizes for my new ones and where to get them? Many thanks, Bob. :P

Should be a 15f 44r on an S. To get a noticeable difference you will either need to drop a tooth on the front, or go up 3 on the rear.

The advantage of doing the front is that you will probably get away with the same chain. I have 14f 44r on my 01SVS and it gives the bike that bit more pep on acceleration and pulling away is made that little bit easier

Some advice.

If you do mainly town riding then yes go ahead its a right laugh with different sprockets. However if you do any length of A road/motorway, then id seriously re-think. I dropped to a 14t on the front. For the main, it was brilliant. However out on the motorway it brought the revs up aroun 800rpm, and at 1000 thats about 7800-8000 rpm which is annoying and buzzy, and drink slightly more of the golden nectar than it used to. Aslo dropping to a 14t might accelerate chain wear.

I brought my sprocket from Taylon online

Yeah took most of that into consideration but im thinking of buying a hack/tourer for any motoway or long distance stuff like a zzr600. I dont find the sv particularly comfy for any grat distances anyway now ive put the rearsets and jack up kit on. ATB Mate
