Basically, I canne make head nor tail of this licence lark, I passed my bike test in july, then my car in september, and I have to send them off, they couldn't take it off me because of my restricted (ahem) licence. I know I need to send it off, but how much is it? Some guidance would be appreciated , I'm having a Fick day. Thanks, Matt

have a look here

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/drivers/applydl.htm

This bit is relevant.

Adding A Test Pass
Photocard Licence Holders
Once you have passed your driving test (theory and practical) you should exchange your test pass certificate for a new licence as soon as possible. If you do not claim your test pass within 2 years of the date of your test, the entitlement conveyed by the test pass will be lost and you will have to pass a further driving test (theory and practical) for that category of vehicle if you wish to have it included on your driving licence.

About halfway down it says :

Provisional to full

Car, Motorcycle, Moped, Bus or Lorry : FREE

You do have your SV now right?

U should get it sent off asap, imagine you getting pulled over with just your green licence?

I know youve got your test pass certificate and all that but it might bring undue pressure if you were ever to be stopped etc.

To go fro green to pink cost me about 20 quid, then to add the provisional car catagory to it cost me nothing.
