I'll get Lady Poppy to see if her sister is free for her and I to stay that weekend. If so I can meet up on Saturday morning for a day out.

Edit: alas, sister in law isn't free that weekend. Not not to worry - I'll just have to book myself into a suitable inn somewhere instead.

Thanks, 6/7th of june is noted. I'm currently figuring out how to get to Shrewsbury. This island of yours is larger then i thought

Anyway, it's going to be an adventure.
For now the plan is to arrive in the UK on thursday or friday and head to Whales. On the way back i'm hoping to visit Crossness pumping station or Kempton steam museum on sunday. An overnight is appreciated!

That weekend is too close to month end for me to take the Friday off so Saturday works best for me.

Bear in mind I will probably be house hunting around this time so I may have to drop everything and cry off if a suitable property comes onto the market in the right location. Right now the supply in our price range is dismal so getting to something promising quickly is key.

I read a lot of good things about Shrewsbury. It made me alter my plans. I'll arrive friday afternoon and do some sightseeing.

Friday: Harwich- Shrewsbury 360km
Saturday: Get together 100km (?)
Sunday: Shrewsbury-London-Harwich 440km

What are the ideas for the overnighter? camping, hotel?
