We've been doing the same and noticed how quiet it is without Easy Jet flights out of Bristol coming over.

It's been fab here without hearing aircraft flying over. We don't hear many anyway but their complete absence makes you realise how much racket the few that do fly over generate.

Quiet here to apart from the builder two doors up. We don't get many jets here in Shrewsbury but there is usually a constant stream of light planes that fly directly over my house. Beats me why they have to fly over populated areas when there's so much open countryside. They make a lot of noise too as they've got little or no exhaust.

just seen this earlier. yes the man is a true gentleman. the queen or at least the PM should write him a letter thanking him.

on a more cynical note.. i bet a large chunk of the money gets eaten up by management "bonuses". i would personally like to see an audit of how it was spent when the time comes.

This is in no way a criticism of Captain Moore's actions, but it is actually a national scandal that a 99-year-old veteran feels he has to raise money to help the NHS.

The service has had its capacity deliberately and cynically slashed over the past 10 years, leading to the shortage of beds, equipment and staff that we have today. And when Hatt Mancock talks about 'NHS debt,' what that actually means is 'deliberate underfunding of the service.'

Absolutely bang on Craig. The whole thing has been about setting the NHS up for failure and then telling everyone that privatisation is the answer.

i'm buying it from the shops like them and i'm wearing gloves when i do... unlike them, who are not wearing gloves when caring for their clients.

they have changed their mind and i'm now allowed to deliver stuff
