Default Curvy rear caliper

Hunting for a replacement rear caliper for my K1.

Looks the same as a Bandit rear from the same year (Dec 2000), any ideas?

TIA

Hiya

The following use the same caliper

Bandits, tl1000, rf600/900
Zx6r j series and zx9r h through to end

The srad and k1 and k2 gixxers all models use the same caliper on a different disc iirc

Great! Thanks for the superfast reply.

That's the way to go as there are so many more around for the Bandit than the K1.

ZX9R does not use the same caliper,at least the later ones dont.Ive got one and its a sliding job not an opposed job like the SV K1. I used to have a ZX6R and from memory that is not the same either.
I probably have an old curvy set of calipers in my shed if you want one---would need a rebuild though as they have sat there for a good few years.

There is one that does as I've bought seals and they're identical to suzuki

Thanks for that great info.

Also a while back I replaced some corroded bits on my Curvy Rear caliper. When I looked around at the individual prices for pins and springs from Suzuki parts suppliers to total mounted up with postage but I found this kit that worked at a much lower price for all the bits,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-SV...72.m2749.l2649

I suspect the pins etc might fit the front calipers as well but not tested.

The Anti-Squeal retainer springs are a little different design to the ones I took off but still work/fit.

I ended up with a refurbished caliper from a 2002 Hayabusa from a guy on eBay. My original was in a very poor state and would have needed pistons/seals/pins/pads plus the bottom plastic cover so it was the way to go.

I've always reckoned the K1 rear brake was too effective in comparison with the K6 single pot as I have managed to lock the back wheel in the past. This may have been due to the brake being semi seized for the past 5 years. Much better now!

Thanks again for the advice.
