Powder coating engine casing? Pointy.
I'm about to do some powder coating on my K3. I will be having the engine casings coated, so i just want to check if i need to have the oil sight glass removed before i send it to the coaters.
Cheers Denis. |

Re: Powder Coating Engine Casing
Yes you will have to remove it.
If you don't they will. Basically I doubt it will survive the heat and even if it did it wouldn't make the finish up to the line very good as it will have to be masked off. This is what I did when I had my TZR covers powdercoated. Also a good blade is required to trim off the edges once you get the covers back or they will not seal properly. The coater should give you some details on what to do post covering etc. |
