back in the day when I used to commute, I would extend my windshield washer tubing and wrap it around one of the radiator hoses. If the nozzles were in the airflow and it was sufficiently cold they would still freeze but in slow moving traffic they would thaw out again.

Had the heaters on full all day today and was still cold driving. Usually it gets too hot pretty quickly. It has nothing fancy at all, no turbo, manual windows etc, but the one things that's always been great on it is the heat you get out of the engine fairly fast after start up.
put some silicone curtain glide spray on the seals.. no more frozen doors

Spray furniture polish, GT85 and armor all plastic treatment all stop doors sticking in icy weather.

I also use rainex on side windows ( don't use it on windscreen as it causes smearing when wipers used ) and ice comes off a lot easier ( like Teflon coating the Windows ).
