Default Is it polite to :-

Shout through the wall to your son's room, "Is that all shes getting"

Hurry home Lynne your little soldier is treating the place like a hotel, and I thought that was my job.

Call me old fashioned, but there are some things a parent doesn't want to hear. There I was in the kitchen washing up his dirty pots, thinking I am sure I made a better job of putting down the new floor in his room than the creaking floorboards were suggesting.

Now one like to think of their offspring as a chip off the old block etc. But I don't think the young Wilky is being exactly fair with his young lady, bringing her back home for a bit of hows your father in the middle of the afternoon with your father in the house is hardly setting a romantic stage. Then again he knows her father still has his shotguns

I thought the young Mr Wilky had learned his lesson the first time or is it another young Mr Wilky.

I'd of walked in with two cups of tea and plonked them on the bed side cabinet.

Then walked out again without saying a word.
