Default Changing throttle: twist to thumb push throttle?

Has anyone done this ? This would give my wrists a break.
Got the idea oFf a friends raptor 700 quad. And sat on that with a push throttle felt better . And maybe safer : when some people crash and fall they hold on the throttle . With thumb throttle u dont keep pushing and being dragged all over .
Im thinking of doing this throttle change . But can anyone whos done it let me know, and others what its like.

I would have thought that a thumb control would be more tiring than a standard one when you want to sustain a constant speed for a period of time, like on a motorway.

I know you can fit them, I have friends involved with NABD and its a fairly standard mod where required for various reasons.

They cannot be that more expensive thana standard throttle, so the question to ask is why they are not fitted as standard.

I don't know if NABD (National Association of Bikers with Disabilities) only deal with Physical Disabilities, but as there are some fairly limiting effects of your illness as I understand it, then they may be able to help out with the conversion, I believe that they have a grant system.

Either way, they will be able to give advice on which system and where to get from - ebay is not always the cheapest/best option.

Why don't you fit a nitrous bottle with a push button start?

Loads cooler and Lambo's are left in your wake.

Ahh sorry, making assumptions on my part, from what I know of it I thought that tiredness/fatigue were common symptoms, so thought that was what the thumb control was about.

Now that I know its NOT about that

Thumb throttles are soooo tiring. I suppose you'd get used to it eventually, but whenever I've been quadding, my thumb is ruined within half an hour. Not a conversion I would do!
