Indicator Problem & fitting front fork seals

Hi all

Am new to this and keen to learn all about bike maintenance so will no doubt have loads of questions!

I have bought an 650 sk5 as my first bike and have noticed that it has developed a problem with the indicators. When I switch on the ignition, I can indicate right no problem, cancel that and indicate left, it seems to kill the indicators. The display briefly flashes but no indicator flashing and then I can't even indicate right unless I kill it off and switch on the ignition again. I have had a quick look at all cables but can't see any loose/chaffed connections having replaced my battery recently. Any thoughts?

Also, I need to replace the leaking fork seals, anyone have any step by step guides out there?

the indicator problem could maby be witht eh switch gear if you say you have checked all wires and conections etc...

Do your hazards work OK?

Check your hazards (as stated above). If they work, the fault is in the indicator switch (as the hazards is a seperate switch). If they don't work, chances are the fault is the indicator relay.

Have checked the hazards and they also kill all indicators, so guess it's a problem with the relay. How do I go about sorting that?
