Default Wet weather tires

Hi!

I need new tires for my 2002 SV650S. The thing is that I ride a lot in the winter when it's wet and cold. I need tires that copes really well with wet roads and give loads of confidence. I'm scared stiff when I go through corners on the original Metzelers, it feels like I'm loosing the front even though I'm nowhere near the limit. I don't care about dry weather performance, as I don't ride fast enough for it to be a problem.

Can anyone recommend some good ones, please?
Thanks!

I'm the same (well, will be soon). I'm thinking of going down the BT020 route or perhaps Roadattack.....

Other recommendations please!

Pirelli MTR60 motard tire
you will have to run a 120/70 up front

the only negative I can tell you about them is that they are noisey. like an offroad SUV with 40"mudders, I can hear tire noise over my V&H exaust that hasn't been repacked in over 90,000 miles

they get kinda greasey ondry pavement if you ride too agressive

BUT IMHO you won't find a better tire for wet or cold pavement

I have got as few as 1500 miles(early fall) on a rear to as many as 5000 miles (dead of winter)

Tz70,

I know what you mean - the original Metzlers are useless around corners. I was on a mate's last week and it was awful - I thought I was going to crash everytime I braked - took forever to slow down.

Get the Bridgestones BT020 front and back and pump up to 36psi. You'll not look back; less fishtailing too. I stopped getting the softer BT010s - picking up way too many nails.

Where's the tyre section??
