Default Missing my V5

I've had m,y SV for 11months. Looking through my records, I have no V5.
I have the green section from the bottom but no V5 in my name...
WTF do I do now?
Seller was supposed to send it off to DVLA.....

i personaly would contact the seller first if you still have their number. Then depending on what he/she says, phone the DVLA and explain to them your situation.

When does/did the tax run out on the bike, if it is any time soon you should get a letter through the door regarding your tax renewal if the bike is registered to you. And if the bike is still registered to the former keeper they will get fined for not paying the tax, they will soon send off the V5!!!

if you dont have the v5 you can fill out a v62 form from the post office and send that to the dvla. you can download the form from www.dvla.gov.uk i think thats the address

When you do the above the dvla will check to see if the bike is in your name/address? If it is not they will write to the person whose name/address they have on record telling them that someone is tryinging to register the bike and giving them a set time to respond. If no resposce is received within the set period the registration is changed to the new name/address ie you.

Basically , if you do contact the seller and he has misplaced the bit he was supposed to send off , just ask him to do nothing when he gets the letter from the dvla informing that someone is trying to register the bike in their name.

Cheers
Ben

Phone the DVL. Got fed up of waiting for mine, phoned them and they told me it had been sent 5 months ago. Obviously never recieved it so they issued me a duplicae Free of Charge. Arrived 3 days later.

The DVLA appears to be the one goverment agency that understands customer service.
