I have a similar question, for big items (eg I've a few bits of bikes to post out) will some couriers collect from your house?

Citylink i think are nationwide, and DHL do a domestic service. However, it would be so much cheaper to buy a new bed.

If you where on contract, then youd be looking at about £15, but as a private customer, id say somewhere in the region of £100+

You could alwyas try parcel farce..erm, force. Datapost 24/48 or something similar.

You'd have to prep it for transport, couriers pick up packages, not items. I was selling my water bed on ebay, until the winning bidder was insisting on collecting by courier. I pulled the auction in the end, it was going to be so much hassle for me to pack all the parts for transport.
