Finally got my bike back but what the hell is that noise?

Well as a small few of you know, my ZX-10R has been sat in my mates garage down near basingstoke at RAF Odiham for about 9 months now.

Finally brought it up after much trial and tribulation. (Including paying £93 to hire a van then being told I couldnt have it when I turned up to get it due to a certain license endorsement, oh and that I couldnt have a refund either, damn those T's and C's) I carefully measured out the wheel base and decided it would fit in a ford transit connect, it was only when I drove down there did my mate remind me that 'wheel base' is measured from where the wheel touches the ground, and not front edge to back edge. Mega D'oh.

So now she's back home (sort of) in my parents garage, charged the battery and she starts fine, but if you turn the ignition on and leave it you here this noise.....

It goes away after it's warmed up, but then leave it a day, turn the ignition on again and it makes the same noise....

Pie and a pint to whoever can tell me what it is. (Pie guaranteed minimum meat content 75%, pint at least 4%, alcohol, not meat)

My ER6 used to make that sound for about 1 second sometimes. Just assumed it was the noise it made when priming and pressurising the fuel injection.

I hear the fuel pump going, then it stops, but this noise carries on, left it for about 30 seconds (not on the video) and it carries on clicking away.

Something a bit seized up due to oil settling for months?

Suzy has a bit of a noise like that at the moment.....shes been sat 18 months. What it is, I dunno, but when you find out......

oo just remembered Raptor did that after winter, but rather than continuous rattle, was a on, off, on, off random rattle, almost like something spitting up. Once she was run properly on a road its not come back

Was it stored somewhere realllllly damp, it could be condensation thats going through the system?

thats not a bad shout, the garages aren't very well weatherproofed, and it's been in there over the winter, plus when I went to recover it there was mould growing everywhere

Options, secondary throttles, EXUP (or whatever hell they call it on kawa) valve, or PAIR solenoid.

Sounds like pair solenoid. Probably got some crap in it somewhere.
