Dyno testing
Hi guys, a mate of mine has a 600 Bandit & put a micron end can on it quite some time ago. Since then it has run badly. The power output is p1ss poor.
Would having the bike Dyno tested help to ascertain what is wrong? Thanks, Alan |

Re: Dyno testing
Might do, it depends on the actual cause. But if he's not already put the old can back on to see if it goes away, that'd be the first thing to try

Re: Dyno testing
Check www.dynojet.co.uk they list all there dyno sites in the 'dealers and tuning centres' page.
Do as Northwind says though..... |

Re: Dyno testing
while we are on the subject.. now i have replaced the normal style can, to a high level race can.. and put a K&N air filter in.. would you guys say it would be wise to get my engine mapped and dyno tuned?

Re: Dyno testing
If the air filter's doing anything, then yep, it might be a good idea. I'm not sure how good the K&N is on your model though, I've never met one. With the carbed model it's mince, so you can sometimes get away without rejetting.

Re: Dyno testing
You won't experience any huge power increases if thats what you are thinking. A little better throttle response I found many years ago when Suzi 1 was standard, however more importantly is that lovely V-twin rumble!!!

Re: Dyno testing
Must admit, i can tell the difference in response between my two. I had suze done at Holeshot racing( they're in ireland now, shame or i'd have told you to go there). I know some of the sluggishness with Dave is the sprocket set up ( its rigged for Mway riding), but even so there is a sgnificant difference with response. becasue of the dyno on suze. IMO a professional dyno is a must, as it stands out on Suze
