Default Newbie with loose gear linkage.

Hi guys, have picked up my SV today, and after not riding for a year it was out of the shop and onto the M5 which was entertaining.

Bike rides great and the gearbox seems fine, but the gear lever is a bit loose. I was wondering if it can be tightened or whether the bearings have to be replaced.
Thanks,
Rob

How loose. The lever shouldnt be totally ridgid but if it is flopping about I would suggest that the bearings need looking at.
