Racks for curvy?
Hi All
I've spent ages trying to settle on a decent monokey type rack for my 02 curvy (I know, I know!) so I can use it for work. However there seems to be a limited amount of choice for the curvy as opposed to the pointy. I know you can get Givi arms for a monokey plate, but they look a little cumbersome - however I do understand that they are designed to take more weight than the grab-bar replacement models. (That said the grab-bar takes a lot of strain with someone clinging on for dear life on a ride.) The Renntec sports rack looks neat, but does anyone know if you can attach a monokey plate to it easily (and safely)? I also like the look of the newer Shad rack and plate and especially the topbox, but again this is a grabrail fitting. As is the SW Motech which is the neatest but doesn't seem to be made for the curvy! Arghhh! Any advice from fellow curvy owners would be very much appreciated. Re: Racks for curvy?
Or if you decide you fancy a givi rack I've just taken one off a bike I bought to convert to a mini twin, just make an offer.
Thank you Simon |

Ventura is the closest to the Motech system, but it ain't errrrrrm very reasonably priced. Givi's are good if you aint fussed about the arms.

Re: Racks for curvy?
Simon, I would definitely be interested if it's in decent nick. (Am assuming it includes the base plate?)
Will look into price new and P&P and get back (or if weather's decent may ride over and pick up). Cheers Last edited by picquant; 22-09-11 at 06:49 PM. |
