Re: The running thread!
Thanks, I did 9.5 miles last night on the way home from work last night. Trouble is I went straight to the pub after. One does get smashed quick when one is dehydrated. Am now majorly hungover....

Re: The running thread!
Please send me your ankle medicine. I'm in Barcelona for the half marathon on Sunday, supping Rioja in the apartment, just about to go out on the town. Ankle is cream crackered. Wine takes away the pain, maybe I could do the run pished?
Hey now we have a plan..... |

Re: The running thread!
Mainly red wine and rest, followed by a spot of running, and the odd cycle ride.

Re: The running thread!
Barca half marathon. Done. Knackered. Ankle feels smashed to bits but I really enjoyed the experience even though some of the course was all boring tatty backstreets. Think I did it in just under 1hr 50, which is a bit meh, but OK considering all my excuses
Wine is helping with the recovery programme. Walking to the top of Parc Montjuic to the Olympic stadium this afternoon after the run, didn't help at all. (Mont is mountain, what a surprise). Neither did all the walking round the shops I had to do, either. Barcelona, is by the way, the most fantastic City I've ever been to. Absolutely outstanding in every way. Probably worthy of more elaboration but I'm not Alan Whicker. If you love Cafe/ Restaurant culture, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere, hardly any traffic comparatively, and loads to see then spend some time here. |
