There's nothing to attach it to and the seat is too small to get a big enough bag on for the stuff I need to take to work.

Mine never bimbled, the throttle mostly only had two positions, shut or wide open.

Seriously, the Kriega packs have webbing straps that fit to the sub frame and feed out from under the seat. Had them fitted to my SK5 and SK8. Now fitted to the F800R. It's a 10 minute job to fit them. Once fitted they then stay there. They're just small webbing loops that the bags then hook on to when needed. Kriega do waterproof tail packs from 5 to 70 litres.

If you're anywhere near Bristol you're welcome to try and attach my Kriega packs. I have a US20 and a US10 with straps for both. Love mine on my K8. Straps fitted under the rear seat to sub frame. When not attached there's just little loop ends sticking out the side of the seat hardly noticeable. Hooks are on the straps that attach to the bag. When attached it's really firm when sinched down.
