The Dark Side
I am thinking of going to the dark side with a Triumph Daytona 600 (2004), I know they are an improvement on the old TT600.
Does anyone on here have any experience of the Daytona, ie reliabilty, handling ect. Thanks in advance........ |

Re: The Dark Side
Wouldn't you be better looking out for the 650. Unless the 600 is a lot cheaper all round?

Re: The Dark Side
The 600 is cheaper to buy and insure. I was thinking of a gsxr600 thats only about an other £30 on the insurance but the Daytona is a bit more exlusive (not so many about), I supose that could tell me something although it could mean the Jap il4's are maketed better.........

Re: The Dark Side
I test rode one a couple of years back and loved it. I very nearly bought one, however someone persuaded me to try the Daytona 955i and the rest is history. It's not that one bike was better than the other just different and I prefered the 955, however if I was in the market for an IL4 600 then I would have gone for the 600 Daytona. I tested it back to back against the GSXR and the CBR and I felt the Daytona was the better all rounder, plus it looks awesome

Re: The Dark Side
Send a PM to Ed, but I can't remember if his is a 600 or a 650.
Never ridden one but from what I've heard & read it's a pretty good bike, just lacks a little bit of power compared to its Jap stable mates. Handling and brakes are meant to be very good.... . |

Re: The Dark Side
I looked hard at the 600 as it was the only SS 600 that I found comfortable as all the others went "focused".As it turned out prices were very high and I bought a ZX9R for less money.
