Default On the scrounge for a place to stop over

I've had a couple of very kind offers for places to stop the night on thursday, but mostly a bit far north... Just wondered if there's anyone out there with a bit of floor that me and Blueflame could occupy on the thursday night? Ideally we'd be looking at Birmingham or surrounding area, and probably arriving around 5-6pm. We are both housetrained, but Blueflame does admittedly have a snore like the sound of worlds ending We'll be coming down the M6 so the closer the better.

Any offers much appreciated! And thanks for the earlier offers folks, we just want to get as far south as we can before stopping. We're not totally dependant on this, so don't anyone feel that you have to- at worst we can get a B&B. We're only doing the 2-day approach as it takes all the rush and worry out of it, if we come down on friday we'll get in late enough as is even without any problems.

Cheers!

You would be welcome to stay here. We don't have a very big place, and we wouldn't get the bikes in the front room, but we have a couple of sofa's you could bunk down on.

Not allergic to cats?

If you want even more south, you are welcome at mine in Oxford mate. We have free secluded street parking and a spare double bed. Dunno if it is a bit out of the way though, if you are coming down the M5 after birmingham. Anyway, offer is on the table.

You can stop at my place if you want. But I think it might be a bit too far South for you. Newbury. 90 ish miles from your end destination.

You could then join the TVSF and possibly the Soho Massive en-route to camp site.

I'm about 300 miles from you & another 200 miles to the camp site
I carn't offer 5 star hospitality, but I can put a tent up in the garden for you & feed you, only a few miles from the M1 but depends on if you want to come down the east or west?

Thanks very much everyone (even the people who offered beds further away than the campsite, it's the thought that counts ) Lissa's offer is the best geographically so we're going to take them up on that, but you're all stars, cheers!

Hi,

Yeah thanks to everyone for their generous offers (and to Northy for sorting this whilst I was away with my work over the last couple of days).

Woo hoo. Sorted.....and the AR08 starts a day early now. Just gotta go and see if I have got too fat for that Rain Suit I bought a couple of months ago !!!
