Default Fuel filter change

So, having done a search i couldn't find much about how to change the fuel filter, so i post this question:

Is it much troubble changing the fuel filter?

I got a 2000 model (is that k1? somewhere i read 2000 is k1, and that didn't make sense).

As far as i understood it a fuel filter isn't really that expensive and im sure i can pick one up somewhere, just the mather of changing it (especially since i don't know where it is!)

I checked the manual but nothing in there.

Anyone knows where a good guide online is or who could explain it to me?
Most grateful,

There isn't a fuel filter as such, there's a strainer gauze on the tap inlets, and, I think, there's one in the pump inlet too.

If you want to fit one just cut the fuel line from the tap to the pump and put an in-line filter there, make sure there's enough room for it to fit under the tank when it's refitted, and that nothing is streched or pinched when the tank is down too.

Ah, i see!
Thats probably why my manual didn't mention it!

Well the problem is that it feels like it gets either to much or not enough fuel, so i was recommended by someone to change the fuel filter.
Obviously they don't ride SV's so they didn't know

Well, whats left to do that i can think of now is to ask the guy im having it serviced by, to balance the carbs then.

Thanks for explaining that to me Sid.
A star as usual!
