Misfire?
I've recently bought a sv 650 k4. When the bike is ticking over it sounds like every so often its missing a beat, because the revs die and pick up again. (You can see this on the rev counter). When i got the bike the tickover was at 800 rpm, so i increased it to 1200 which helped when pulling away. I'm not sure if the tickover being low is because there is a fault. When you rev the nuts off it it will give a loud backfire! Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? the bike has done 17000 miles, Thanks, Nic.

Re: Misfire?
im guessing you adjusted the tick over while the engine was warm. the loud backfire at the red line is normal.
as for missing at tick over i have no idea about. |
