My K3 also does that and has done for years. If I try to turn the key from an odd position, eg stood on the other side of the bike, I can't - it just won't turn.
As long as I'm on the bike or stood on the left, it's fine. I can just about get the steering lock engaged, but the P position is impossible.

I think of it as extra security

Bibio has a thread that shows how to fix the key problem

That's a hella quick turn around! I'm impressed, what will you be doing with the light on the front? Any progress in a week?

I sourced another light and fitted it this week, its perhaps a little smaller than expected but I like that its not chrome. I'll be adding my KOSO clocks to it as soon as I get a spare few hours.

This week has been mainly riding the wheels off it and enjoying every minute!

I softened up the preload on the GSXR shock and it feels a lot better, in fact I'm beginning to wonder if I need to do any fork alterations at all, it handles great as it is. We shall see.

Although the front brake reservoir seems to leave a fine mist of brake fluid on the tank after a spirited ride and as you can see in the photo below, the coolant pipe on the left started dripping after a run. Need to keep an eye on both and resolve ASAP.

Good vid there Redmist, have you managed to deduce which GSX-R the shock is from? From your brief outings how does it compare to the ZX10R one on your race bike?

Very cool, but I'd find it a bit odd with no clocks in front of me.

No I have not discovered which GSXR shock it is, its difficult to say how it compares as road surfaces are no comparison to a nice smooth Cadwell park.
For me there is not too much difference, I believe I could stick on some numbers and quite happily race it tomorrow so its close enough. I think I need to dial in a bit more compression damping as it tends to blow thru the travel over harsh bumps, or I need to put some preload back in. I'll try get the missus to measure my sag at some point (Snigger snigger!)

Yeah its a little odd, but I'm used to it having run no clocks on my track bike for a while, really the only thing I miss is the fuel and neutral lamps. Hence why the KOSO dial will soon be on.
