Pointy idle issue

I have a 2005 pointy and it idles at about 1K sometimes lower, every now and then when i close the throttle after revving it it'll cut out. Is this as simple as adjusting the cables or do i need to adjust the idle as well? And how would i go about doing that on a pointy?

I had a curvy that idled at about 1.3K so im assuming these should be the same?

I'd try adjusting the idle first. Off the top of my head it should be between 1200 and 1400 when measured with the engine warmed up. Adjustment is via a little screw on the left hand side, just under the tank.
