bike started fine this morning
going to replace both battery and reg rec
the reg seems to be putting out low and the battery seems to drop by itself
2 things to create one big problem
Battery
Reg/Rec Kit

no way that is a genuine FH020AA, it will be some Chinese crap that will just destroy your stator.

buy it from a reliable source. i just got an SH847 for my VFR from http://roadstercycle.com/ comes highly recommended on the VFR forums.

alternatively you could go to Suzuki direct and buy it, its fitted to the vstrom 1000. if you want an FH020AA then I'm sure they are fitted to the last generation R1

So which one should I acctually buy ? Been offered a fh010aa for about 30 quid wouldn't that be okay came from a kawi

Changed the rec to a zx10 one

Did a little bit of chopping
Extended the stator wires but that was it
Works amazing

How did you extend the wires and affix the plug/s?Don't suppose you took any pictures?

I extended the wires with crimps and used insulted spade terminals to connect to the rectifier
