Common oil leaks? Pointy.

Are there any known common oil leaks on the SV? I've got a 2004 pointy 650 and I've noticed a drop coming from the bracket under the rear shock. I've not really had much chance to have a proper look or clean anything up but wondered if anyone had anything similar in the past around that area or ideas of what to look for?

Ive got a 2003 model and Ive just noticed one of my oil cooler pipes had corroded on the fixings of it. Not sure if this is common or not or if Ive just neglected it a bit with cleaning there etc., but I imagine its location and exposure would leave it wide open to attack from the elements. Ive never had any other oil leaks in 10 years of ownership though.

look around the rear rocker cover or possibly the rear cam tensioner [to the right of the exhaust]

I had to replace my rocker cover seal last week as it was dripping. If you can take tank off look at the top of the engine and see if it looks like its leaking!

Cheers for that guys, I'll have a look properly when I get back from a jaunt out tomorrow and see if I can see anything obvious. Probably need to clean it all up properly first to see properly.

Also have a look at the clutch push rod seal next to the front sprocket.

Yeh pretty much top cover is 5 maybe 6 bolts tis all. The only pain may be if the seal is quite old you may find it has fused to the gasket and is a bit of a faff to get off!
