Insurance, specifically the tax on people who don't shop around.

Two years ago, £98. Last year, £146 (with an increased excess, too). This year, £214. Now I have to waste time getting quotes.

Once you've entered details into one of the compare sites it just needs a tweak next year to add one more year onto some details, I normally get my current insurer to beat the quotes or get very close...doesn't take that long....never accept renewals, it's throwing money away

my insurer beats most online quotes with their renewal letter. i cant be arzed with shopping around to save a few £. the renewals have never gone up, only down in price.

I switched and saved £45 with a lower compulsory excess, too. I've never found the comparison sites that useful as the detailed quotes are always so different - but maybe that's because I have some odd exceptions, like my garage is in a different postcode to my house.

I've had a very up and down week (up's are in the smile thread).
Went to see my speach and swallowing therapist who watched me live on XRay try and swallow. She offers little hope it's ever going to happen.
Been out on the bike three days wearing different helmets and in pain with them all after about 20 miles, I bloody hate the "new" shape of my head.

The thought had crossed my mind. I'm going to try an open face lid. Cannot get by as it's proper pain rather than discomfort.

Migraine, I know I moan about these regularly but I get them regularly. This month I've taken the beta blockers, HRT and riboflavin every day without fail. These are meant to prevent the migraines. Yet I'm going into my third day of headache. All the meds may make it less severe but they don't actually stop them. So I take migraine treatment which makes me tired, with an almost hungover feeling.

I might have a dig around in the garage later for the hand drill, give DIY trepanning a go. If that works I can see if I could then get the chisel out and try to reshape LOM's head so it'll for comfortably into a helmet.
