we ended up on this road on Sunday:

http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=55.0598...07.04,,0,-0.62

it was brilliant fun but i don't think the rest of them would have agreed as it was as wide as a footpath.

honest guvnor. I was attempting to snatch the mile munching crown off Melody

I'm not sure my Dad was too impressed with me bringing his beemer back with scuffs on both cylinder head protectors. Thats what being chased down the Newtown road by a TVR Chimaera will do lol

Chapeau fella, lots of miles right there. How do you get from the Lakes to N. Wales? If I could work out a way to get there that does not involve the M6 I'd go more often.

Hehe you were right the 1st time Mike 2 trips! Put near enough 800 miles in 2 weekends on it.

2bh theres no direct route other than the mway i'd suggest getting off the M6 at Preston, trundling up the A6 for a bit and then doing this. Nice twisties upto Glasson Dock (another bike meet) and you can decide where you want go from Devils. I'd say M6 Jct 31, Ribchester, Waddington, Slaidburn, Trough of Bowland is a good way to get up there too if you've got all day

Was out racking a few more miles up the other night, straight from work this time i'm getting that sinking feeling that another winter will soon be here

Jumped on the M6 which I never normally do so I could get to my destination quicker....

Can you guess where I am yet?

Well starting out in Eskdale, go over the Hardknott Pass then Wrynose Pass to Ambleside, up The Struggle and out onto Kirkstone Pass. Whoever designed the place knew what they were doing
