*Fresh air at 60 mph is always the best type.

Re: Glencoe Massacre IX - Chat thread
I tripped over some odd metallic blue thing in my back yard today.
Upon closer inspection it appears to be some form of motorbike. All this reminded me I really should get myself back up to the Highlands and you nice people often organise a good excuse to do so. |

Re: Glencoe Massacre IX - Chat thread
The Raptor was taken out on its maiden voyage over the weekend. Looking forward to the third GM attempt in a row to actually get her up there.
As long as I get her past the stretch of road that's produced one deer collision, one duck near miss and a diesel spill.......Happy days!!!

Re: Glencoe Massacre IX - Chat thread
That involves going south to go up, and motorway with a lot more miles added to the journey. The way we go, goes up through the dales to meet the m6.

Re: Glencoe Massacre IX - Chat thread
Personally my preferred route from your neck of the woods would be Harrogate, Ripon, A1 to Darlington, A68 to Edinburgh, M9 to Stirling, then A84/85/82 all the way to Glencoe. Great compromise between journey time and motorway, and avoids the boredom of M6/M74, traffic past Glasgow, and more boredom up the side of Loch Lomond.
