Fork Springs?
I am just about the put new Ohlin progressive springs in my SK3, is there a specific oil that should be used?
The bike is mainly used for work but does hit coutry lanes now and again! Not a fat git either (if that makes any difference)! Any comments would be appreciated, as I don't have a clue, probably leave the same oil in if it was up to me! |

I think you put 10W oil in them. I'm probably wrong but that rings a bell from when I did the springs on my old SV. It might be different for the K3s.
That probably didn't help much did it? |

Put it this way I fitted Ohlins front springs to my bike 8 months ago, and I am a fat git. I kept the same oil. Also we did the same the viney's bike as well, and I don't think he has changed his oil in a year. So that end get a coat hanger, wip the old springs out put the new ones in and bob's your uncle. All done in 15mins. sorted.
sexysi Plus you don't have to take the forks out and drain the oil.!. Got a little guide here, it's for a sk1 but should be very similar. http://www.sv650s.org.uk/FrontOhlins.html |
