Pointy naked throttle tube wanted - SV650.org

I am converting my 2005 Pointy S to a Naked. Ive fitted a N top yoke & Renthal ultra low bars. The N throttle cables do not fit the S throttle tube & I understand that the N tube is a combined unit? I want to buy the N tube or will swap my S tube & switches & cables if necessary.

you could upgrade to an R6 unit, give it a shorter twist. they are ~13£ new from yamaha

unfortunately i didn't think anyone would want a standard throttle tube, so i binned mine after i upgraded

didnt even think of folk going S>N

Would the N throttle cables fit the R6 tube, what model year R6?

yea it was a direct swap on my k5 Naked

its from an 03-05 R6, here is the thread with the info over on SVRider:

i bought both the R6 throttle, and the passenger grip from Fowlers Yamaha:

this was the part numbers from my confirmation email:

Stilo. i have explained that its not the tube but the whole switchgear and the tube that needs replacing.

you have two options.
1. get a naked switchgear (housing), tube and cables (you have the cables) and take a chance.
2. get longer cables made for the sport throttle housing. i explained how to do this in your thread.

I started this thread asking to buy the switchgear & tube but Graig took me down the R6 route.I thought that as I have the naked cables I would try and get the correct tube etc. With the abscence of original gear for sale it looks like I will have to get longercables
