Not doing any speedy overtakes of horse boxes now then...

I think my next bike will be something capable off-road! A KTM 990 Adventure maybe so I get to have a blast where no laws exist...

You'll need to go abroad then, there's no such place in nanny state Britain.

have I got you hankering after an adventure valagi? the 990's are meant to be a bit iffy with the fuel injection but the 950's are smooth as (and cheaper!)..

/derail

Did SVmat ever report back on where this is heading or if he's made any progress?

Might have , I was thinking of a super duke for the next bike, but may be swayed towards substance over style...it's got to be a big v-twin whatever it is I reckon to put big smiles on my face...

Yeah...progress update? Last I read solicitors were getting called upon...

That "Horse Box" speed camera is actually against ACPO guidelines and therefore you should eb able to get off scott free.

If its against ACPO guidelines and they have still gone ahead and made these horsebox cameras have they found a way round the guidelines?

Do these laws apply to Wales? Do the Welsh have some level of flexibility to setting their own guidelines?

GUIDELINES are not LAW. Therefore if you get zapped by a hidden camera it still counts, you were speeding and they have the evidence. That horsebox story is so old, it has literally died a death. AFAIK it has not been used since 2008 and I live here. Since Brunstrom shuffled off things have got a lot more normal here.

The LAW applies to both England and Wales, it is Scotland who has a slightly different legal system. ACPO represents all forces AFAIK.

I don't think publicity stunts are covered by guidelines. I guess they're working on the principal that most motorcyclist think the rules don't apply when on holiday abroad so why should they play fair as well.
