Default What causes Frequency Shift?

The area of Edinburgh were I'm staying is the worst place I've ever been for radio and television frequency shift.

I have to re-tune the radio about every 10 minutes all day, every day. The TV is the same here. I rarely get between ad breaks before I have to twiddle the tuner.

What causes it? Anything I can do about it?

So why do my farts sound different. Some are tuneful toots and pips others would not sound out of place on an eighteen Wheeler.

Holy crapoola, how old is your tv?? Is this thread like 100 years old or something? The last tv we had with a tuner knob was 1982.

No idea, but its a hitachi portable... and its COLOUR! Modern technology eh!

My radio is new(er). Asda, 7 quid.

and neither hold a station.

I'm going to write a strongly worded letter to the Frequency police. That should do it.
