Gear 1 to 2
This is still not right, its beginning to **** me off now.
I sometimes (say once a ride) shifts into Neutral instead of 2, apart from looking like a complete prat, its very annoying lol, i have to shift harder han other gears to get to two. I still have the hard neutral when cold too. It never slips out of gear though so its probably not a bent selector? If it was clutch drag surely id have this issue through he rest of the gears?. So my attention is now shifted to the star shaped selector thing for the gear changing issue, with a bit of clutch drag making neutral hard and adding to my problems. Any thoughts? and no, the clutch is adjusted perfectly lol. Thanks Last edited by beabert; 15-04-10 at 12:33 AM. |

Is the shift lever in the best position for you?

Re: Gear 1 to 2
I had these exact problems, which were sorted by replacing the clutch plates. I expect this is what you will need to do...once done, you'll have your normal sweet suzuki gearbox back snick snick snick through the gears

Re: Gear 1 to 2
I found my pointy used to do that... it wasn't due to age (barely over 1500miles on it) and I just remembered to give it an extra-firm shift from first to second, no problem!

Re: Gear 1 to 2
I was thinking he clutch plates are so new they are all too close because of the grooves in my basket. I need to get hold of someone breaking a curvy engine with a known good unit.
