I just followed this guide to clean the fungus out of the Olympus 50mm lens Admin sent me. I didn't dismantle the aperture but just cleaned the glass. The lens cups I bought helped no end, I highly recommend them.

After I few months of abstinence, temptation and avarice got the better of me.
Spookily weird in that your last couple of posts refer to Olympus and high-end stuff, Kenzie.

Did you just buy all of that? I quite like them in black.

Yeah, I kind of got carried away and bought the lot. I was after the OM1n but the meter is dodgy and the return spring on the winder seems to have gone. The seller had a pristine OM2SP as an alternative so we came to an agreement on both.
Not exactly a bargain price, but a bargain in that if I sell the bits separately, I should double my money. I look at it from the perspective of keeping 1 camera body, selling the rest and ending up with a free camera and a few quid left over.... but which one to keep??

I have been a bit crazy on the buying this month as well. Just bought a Kodak 35 Rangefinder as well today. Will need attention to the actual rangefinder but the shutter works apparently. The OM2 has the benefit of an auto mode so if you can't be bothered with manual you can always turn it into a point and shoot.

First things I've bought for a while so that's my excuse.
Strangely enough, I was after the OM1 but the 2Sp seems much more pleasurable to use, although I remember the one I had before not impressing me too much. I'll give them both a go and then decide what to do.
The seller had quite a bit of stuff he was planning on selling: enlargers and darkroom equipment, a couple of box cameras, an old Kodak roll film camera (cresta?) and a Kodak 120 bellows camera in beautiful condition - not sure what model though.

I think the OM2 addressed a lot of the issues with the OM1. I have only shot one roll through mine so its hard to get a good feel for it. They are nice and compact though.

Nice haul, blimey!

Halina 35X? if only they all went for that, ebay is infested with them. Was out taking a few pics with the Kiev. Not the quickest thing to use but the VF is nice, and the RF is bright, except when I kept putting my fingers in front of it.

The Contax grip takes some time to get used to. On the other end of the scale, I just won a Lomography Diana Mini to tinker with. Apparently the winder isn't working properly, hopefully an easy fix.
