Throttle mod - r6/r1 quick action?

Afternoon .Org

I have a sv650s pointy k6

Iv seen in past threads about a mod which is a simple fit to a sv650 curvey, the r1 or r6 throttle tube replacement which has a bigger dynamiter therefore quickening the throttle (shorter time from closed to full open)

& it can be done with the pointy!!

Im just unaware what model/year one i need & then the hard part of finding one to purchase. can anybody help?
& if anybody has done this mod or similier could you tell me what you think about it ? & if any issues? Iv read that it can lock up...

I bought the 1/5 turn trottletube from moto-tech.biz and you dont have to modify it, it is bolt on. Takes less then 2 minutes.

and what do i do.. just unassailable that and swap tubes with that kit ?

That's the easiest part..

2003-2004 is the one to go for, as for buying one ring your local dealer for Yamaha and ask for a k3/k4 throttle tube it'll cost you the grand total of 9 quid or so..

I will ring yamaha deeler tomorrow for one..as it seems the cheapest way, & R6 throttle glotting rights haha
