I'm one of those " not doing the rideout" as well, just going for the social side, see old friends from previous years that sort of thing, hopefully some decent weather, hey even got the Mrs to buy me some shorts ( well long shorts, kind of thing ,).

But ask any that went even in cars, and in the downpour they had a great time without a bike.

Cheers Mark.

As for the panic braking, just dont ride up the chuff of the bike in front of you.

It seems a shame to come all this way and then not explore when you're down here and you wont find some of the roads we're going on just by exploring with a map
but im scared

actualy, im trying to save money, so by not doing the ride out i save 10-15 quid on petrol

hey hey, whats all this talk of not doing the ridout buddy? Its the main reason we go.... the socialising is kindda filler on either side of it.

Look, dont eat or drunk much and spend the cash on the petrol for the rideout. hell even if i have to ride with you and keep everyone a safe distance from you and the topbox i will

It wont be the same if you and maria dont come on the ride itself mate so please beg or borrow some dosh and do it.

PM me if you're still unsure of a group ride... i know i was when i did my first AR in 05 so i understand dude.

I think its the other way round. Its ok to chat on this forum, but its a whole load better in real life, can't do it on the back of bike with your lid on!

I'm not overly keen on the large volume of bikes in the group this year. I fair well on group rides, done it far too often, but I'm bowing out for a whole load of reasons
Large group
petrol
skint
not seen my bloke in three weeks, apart from the odd hour when I've been over at his place
Blokes hip
other peeps not doing ride, and I can talk them to death
Sun!!!!! yes its supposed to be sunny
etc etc etc

I just want to have a good time in my own way
