Default OMO: Courier for long stuff

Can't believe the trouble I'm having with this. I'm trying to shift a car bumper on ebay, it's plastic so weighs very little but it's 180cm long and max 60x60 at the ends. Can I get a courier? Well, the best is £30 for Parcelforce 48Large. I don't get it, other sellers seem to be offering postage for down to £12, and even click and collect at Argos who expressly say they won't handle anything over 1.2m long. Any ideas?

Its done on volumetric value, which is why it's so expensive

Even Parcel Monkey says Parcel Force is the best rate

If they are classed as a business they may well be getting preferential rates, by Bro's place gets 1.5m x 1m x 1m any weight delivered for £12 by DHL. But they ship a helleva lot of stuff with them.

Go see a local pallet courier company, see what they'll do it for. Most half pallets on an economy delivery are up to £30

Tried them Speirs, they said no as the ends of the bumper are 50-60cm and they are fine with the length but max 30x30cm otherwise. Daddyjob it's about £30 for Parcelforce anyway.
