I had a beowolf exhaust on my old pointy, wonderful sound, not much popping and banging but i prefer that, just the raw loud thump of the twin . had no idea what the pair system was so just did a google and found this..

looks like it is up somewhere near the engine rather than near the can itself, so you can prob disable it separately.

Yes should have, the black tubes coming from each of the cylinder heads links up and goes the airbox. Have a look on here there are a few links to removing it and what it does as a system. Hope this helps

it probably does have the PAIR system, and AFAIK there are very few if any 'perks' to removing it. Yours is a newer bike with the twin spark, so it burns fuel more efficiently. Meaning less unburnt fuel gets through the system and less pops and bangs .

Cheers Job, i forgot about that, explains why mine was still a clean-ish sound with the can on it.

You don't need to remove it, just blank it off if you wish.
Chewys stuff sell the blanking plates for about £15 I think.

My sk6 pops a bit on over run and I personally quite like it so won't be bothering to blank off
