Haha, they're both fun but in different ways. I fancy adding another bike to my collection but I'm not sure what. Maybe a RE Bullet or a two stroke traily from my youth like a TS125 Suzuki.

But the roadbike versions are improving year by year, and aren't big and heavy.

I also read that they are going to allow higher powered versions soon, I think the current top speed is a bit low
I bought this for local commuting and exercise. Being a fold up its easy to carry in the car and it fits in the storeroom at work. It's limited to 15mph on electric but still bombs down hills much faster with gravity assist.

Under present regulations any faster than 15.5 mph and riders will need a licence, tax insurance and registration plates, as it will be classed as a powered two wheeler.
This is pretty much the same in all countries.

Yes I'd read that. I'm quite happy with 15mph. I can go places that are off limits to powered vehicles. Riding into work is quicker than using either the bike or car using cycle lanes and alleys.

In NI they require such anyway. The PSNI upper chiefs put out a bulletin though saying anyone riding an ebike sensibly wouldn't be hassled. About a week later a chap was arrested for riding one whilst heavily intoxicated

I'll update your knowledge base.

Here's the new category, which will require a licence, registered and insurance, according to this news story. All of which are sensible and necessary with the extra power.
