Misfire
hi guys firstly thanks for having me, now the problem- i have a 2002 sv650 with a random misfire at 4.5k revs plus, more so when its warm, its got new plugs and i have swapped the petrol tap (previous owner put a new tank on it so i assume the old one was full of ****) the carbs have had a quick clean but it seems more electrical. i have a 1999 sv with a blown engine so swapping parts is not an issue what are the best bits to try first. i had my 1999 sv for 5 years with no trouble and they are ace. thanks.

Re: Misfire
Easy bits first.Swap the spark plug caps.
You can test the Spark plug caps. They come stock @ 5k ohm resistance.Anything North of 8k Ohms and I replace them.
