Default Gear lever removal assistance please.

do to my off at the weekend i need to remove my gear selector from the foot rest but i am having trouble please help

its rele simple...:

on the really thin arm with the black bits on each end unwind the nut on one end so it is free to disconnect (remember that one of them unwinds in a clockwise direction if that makes sense) then simply unwind the bolts holding the plate on to the bike, once that whole assemble is off then theres a bolt going all the way through the footrest and gear shift etc entering from behind. unscrew that and it will all come apart.

all of that is if youve got a curvy btw....dunnno if its same for a pointy

sorry i need to remove the gear arm from the foot peg as the end broke off

In similar situation I've simply drilled a hole and stuck a bolt through. Slide some fuel pipe over it to avoid it chewing your boots.

To remove, 2x6mm hex headed bolts into the frame.
1x 8mm hex headed bolt behind footpeg. Lever is a sliding fit around footpeg.
10mm spanner to remove locknuts on lever rod. CAREFUL one end is left hand thread.

Have you done this, what bit is causing you trouble?

Bolt is in back of footpeg hinge. 8mm hex key
