SOFT!!! I've been out on a motorbike this morning.
Admittedly it was my daughters pit bike, but was great fun drifting round the drive

The clouds are gathering outside the office window here in Hertfordshire. Odd really, you'd expect them to be in the sky...

No sign of the white stuff falling yet but I predict utter panic when the odd flake or three falls down here in the Home Counties.

Definitely counted 3 flakes last night in Surrey. Maybe even three and a half. Not sure anyone else noticed though as the trains are still running.

Well, Wednesday night saw the first time in about 15 years where I had to give up trying to make forward progress. The bike would only go sideways or nowhere - brand new PR3s - proof were it needed that bikes and snow/ice aren't a great combo. That said, the bike stayed up, I did get it home, slowly, after a while. TBH, I've been out in far worse but this was a sudden, heavy dump of a few inches in less than an hour with an icy layer beneath. Maybe the rail companies are onto something when they talk about the wrong kind of snow/leaves etc.
