Don't worry there, I will be back with questions if I think I can justify the cost whatever that may be.

Looking at the prices of front ends I could practically buy a gixxer!

That's how I ended up with a Daytona!

The cost of sourcing a new front end and getting it all sorted v trading in the sv and buying a new bike

I do love the sound of a v twin, I am tempted by a screaming IL4 though.

Insurance is a consideration too as the mod must hike up the premium somewhat, whether it's comparable to moving to a sports bike or not given the standard sv's low premium

I've never been fortunate enough to have low premiums so it wasn't much of a factor for me

Did you have to say that! It was for a 675 that I did my DAS but got the more sensible SV as a first big bike.

Now you've got me on ebay and bike trader looking at daytonas

Ahhh hahahahaha I found it the perfect step up, still torquey live the twin but more top end like a 4. Not as all out fast as a 4 mind but the sound, oh the sound

Pretty normal up till about 6 6 and half then the exhaust opens up and it's a sweet whistley note

And when you chuck a quick shifter on, the fun is almost too much

If you are looking, I think it's the 2009 plus that are plug and play with quick shifters
